Saw this via VOD when it was first released. As a huge fan of the novel I was disappointed by a few of the things left out of the film, but that’s entirely to be expected in a book-to-film adaption. As a movie, John Dies at the End is great. Considering the source material and the talent on hand, it’s not surprising that this one is miles ahead of most things you’ll find in the genre today.

I plan on seeing it in the theater if a showing comes near enough to me, otherwise I’ll be looking forward to picking up the bluray.
