I think its pretty safe to say that Scream 3 has become a hate it or love it affair, there doesn’t seem to be a middle. So with that, I was one of the haters, I just didn’t get it and I certainly didn’t like the direction they took. But if you love it, then fair play.
So who’s interested in knowing what Kevin Williamson had originally planned before Ehren Kruger took over with scripting duties? Well, the folks over at ET recently caught up with Kevin Williamson, and this is what he had to say.
“In my original story for Scream 3, the killers were basically a fanclub of Woodsboro kids that had formed because of Stab 1 and Stab 2. They were all doing the killings and the big surprise of the movie was when Sidney walked into the house after Ghostface had killed everyone … and they all rose up. None of them were actually dead and they’d planned the whole thing.”
With that being said, you will probably notice some similarities between this and Scream 4, so if this did come to fruition, what would have become of Scream 4?
In any event, Williamson continues, “The motive was their quest for fame, so I just placed that into one character with Scream 4. They were trying to top [Sidney's] Woodsboro story so they could be the legacy of their hometown.”
So what do you guys think?

Sounds more like a remake of April Fools Day.
true! part 3 reminded me of Happy Birthday to me.
I like the plot of the actual Scream 3 a lot better than this, but I think it would’ve been much better if Williamson would’ve written it.
