It certainly appears as if S-VHS is picking up a lot of steam. Recently it was announced that Magnolia had nabbed the North American rights to the film, and now we have word regarding the International rights.

According to Screen Daily, Memento Film International has acquired the International to S-VHS, following its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival last week.

Tanja Meissner, the head of Memento’s international sales has stated;

“We’re already big fans of the first one, which was super scary and smart… This one takes it to another level. The talent of the directors involved and the new orientations on the found footage exercise makes this second installment a sure bet for theatrical releases around the globe.”

S-VHS is set to be directed by Simon Barrett, Adam Wingard, Edúardo Sanchez, Gregg Hale, Timo Tjahjanto, Gareth Huw Evans and Jason Eisener. The film also stars Adam Wingard, Lawrence Levine, L.C Holt, Kelsy Abbott and Hannah Hughes.

Synopsis“Searching for a missing student, two private investigators break into his abandoned house and find another collection of mysterious VHS tapes. In viewing the horrific contents of each cassette, they realize there may be terrifying motives behind the student’s disappearance.”
