You’re probably reading this and thinking just what the heck is this guys talking about? Wasn’t Texas Chainsaw 3D meant to be a direct sequel to Tobe Hooper’s original Chainsaw film? Well, yes it was, so why Texas Chainsaw 4? Who knows, but today we have official confirmation that the sequel to Texas Chainsaw 3D is definitely a-go, which B-D originally reported a few weeks ago.
According to Deadline, Millennium Films is moving ahead with Texas Chainsaw 4, with production to begin later this year in Louisiana.
Texas Chainsaw 4 is said to be spearheaded by producer Carl Mazzocone, exec producers Mark Burg, Avi Lerner, Tobe Hooper, Trevor Short, John Thompson, Danny Dimbort, Lati Grobman and Christa Campbell.
I’m pretty sure the moniker Texas Chainsaw 4 will soon be changed as its a little confusing, where does this one stand? Sound off below and let us hear your thoughts on a sequel to Texas Chainsaw 3D.

Haven’t seen 3D yet but I’m always down for more TCM….the 6 I’ve seen have been fun
Jesus. Just freakin leave this franchise alone already.
They will milk this one to death now that Texas Chainsaw 3D made a whack load of money.
I’m totally down for sequels… if they’re warranted. A big box office isn’t enough, the movie should at least get decent ratings as well in order to warrant a sequel…. although that will never happen in Hollywood today :/
