It was recently announced that Fede Alvarez’a remake of the Evil Dead had received an NC-17 rating which means, this is filled with some pretty insane stuff. Sadly the MPAA have had to come in and order some cuts for the films theatrical release.
According to Dread Central, the MPAA have granted the film an R for “strong bloody violence and gore, some sexual content and language.”
Like I said last time, even though the film has been cut, I mean it was inevitable if it ever wanted to be shown in theatres. But, this makes for a much more awesome home video release, or at-least we can hope they release this fully uncut on DVD & Blu-ray.
Synopsis: “In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.”
Look for the film in theatres this April 12th.

i already want to buy the DVD.
