I for one really enjoyed Jorge Grau’s original flick We Are What We Are, and for me a remake isn’t really needed. But saying that. When you have Stake Land’s Jim Mickle on directing duties for the remake I can’t help but take notice, and it appears as if the remake has found a home.
According to Deadline, eOne has acquired the U.S. rights to the remake in a low seven-figure deal, with plans to release the film theatrically.
The remake stars Ambyr Childers, Bill Sage, Julia Garner, Michael Parks, Wyatt Russell and Kelly McGillis.
Synopsis: “A devastating storm washes up clues that lead authorities closer to unraveling the dark secrets of the Parker family, who are cannibals.”
