Is your favourite genre of film the one that involves zombies, vampires or deranged killers? Do you recognize that Twilight is not horror and “Bella” and “Edward” are a stain on the vampire genre? Well that means you would be a great writer for our site. Did you disagree with everything I just said but still love the horror genre? That means you have independent thought and would still make a great writer for this site.
HorrorMovies.ca is once again actively seeking to grow out team of writers. We are looking for two particular roles, a day to day news contributor, and a features writer. Day to day news requires 30 minutes to an hour a day to contribute news and help DethBanger and Goon who have been doing news on this site for a very long time.
They do a kick ass job but a third perspective will spread the load around and make our coverage that much better. Only requirement is the ability to blog and a desire to share the latest genre news with our readers.
We are also looking to add a weekend features writer. This role requires one to two updates per week with a particular focus on generating interesting and entertaining top lists as well as contributing editorial content which will make our community, think, debate, disagree, call you an idiot and from time to time laugh.
These are a voluntary position but in writing for our site you will be writing for one of the largest horror movie sites in the world and be followed and read by the smartest and best looking group of horror fans around.
We will not pressure you, we will not stress you out and we wont chase you. You will succeed as a writer for our site because you love the genre as much as we do,
If this sounds like you please email scoops@horror-movies.ca with what role you want, why you should be chosen and what makes you a great team member. As much as I will do my best to answer all enquiries I can not promise that so dont be upset if I dont. If you applied in the past feel free to do so again.
Below is an important and completely random message from our favourite genre killer.

I’ve always loved how Michael just walks after people and always ends up killing them. I think thats part of why he’s my favourite horror killer!
