Shout! Factory Picks Up Dead Shadows

Chris Savage

David Cholewa’s Dead Shadows, is one flick we have been following very closely. Basically it looks badass and I think many of you guys will absolutely love it. Unfortunately will still don’t know when we will get our hands on this one, but we do know who will be unleashing it.

According to Indiewire, Shout! Factory has picked up the film in a multi-platform deal. The shingle will unleash the film on VOD and DVD later this year. Now you guys know Shout! Factory, so hopefully this release will also receive the same treatment as other releases. Fingers crossed this one is packed full of the good stuff.

The film stars Fabian Wolfrom, Blandine Marmigère, John Fallon and Rurik Sallé.

Synopsis“Dead Shadows tells the terrifying story of a young man, named Chris (Wolfrom), whose parents were brutally killed 11 years ago, on the same day that Halley’s comet could be seen from earth. Tonight, a new comet is appearing and everyone in his building are getting ready for a party to celebrate the event. There’s even an apocalypse theory going around. As the night falls, Chris discovers that people are starting to act strange – and it seems to somehow be connected to the comet. They are becoming disoriented and violent and it doesn’t take long before they begin to mutate into something far beyond this world. In a fight for survival, Chris tries to escape from his building with the help of a gun taunting tenant named John (Fallon) – but will they make it out alive?”

I check out UHM at least once a month to check for foreign horror movies since I got my multi region bluray/dvd player and it seems like this one has been awaiting release for way longer than a year… it looks pretty cool too. In fact, there is at least 15 or more awaiting release from outside the US. Just got Livide (Livid) from Amazon UK and it’s pretty creepy.
You guys should start listing weekly or bi-weekly releases from ALL regions. I know that there are a lot of people like me who have a multi region players to watch ALL the movies.. and I believe you are from the UK I sometimes get films 6 or 7 months earlier from AmazonUK then they are released here in the states.
So instead of going to a few sites and search for up coming or released foreign movies, it would be nice just to come to one site and have it all. Anyway, just a thought. Thanks for the info on this ilm.
