A Look At A Creature from Knights of Badassdom

Jason McDonald

We may or may not ever see Knights of Badassdom in the way it was intended. After some peculiar business practices derailed the project for two years, there were allegations that the film had been severely edited and was now a bastardized version of Director Joe Lynch's original vision. Supposedly the movie had been sold off to another company, but what remains for the future of that project is unknown.

What we do know is that thanks to the documentary team behind Men in Suits we now have a glimpse of one of the monsters that was featured in Knights of Badassdom. You can check out the two clips below which give viewers an insight into how these practical creatures are made.

In the original film directed by Joe Lynch, a group of LARPers must do battle with real life monsters. The film stars Peter Dinklage, Summer Glau and Steve Zahn.

Wait, this monster suit was constructed and used by Joe Lynch, was it not? I suspect some nefarious things happened regarding this movie, but I’m pretty sure the suit footage is on the level.
