Are you stewing in your juices because you couldn’t see Evil Dead at SXSW? I know I am. But there’s good news for impatient folks like us. The newest incarnation of Evil Dead is going to embark on a 29 city tour to celebrate it’s release. Sort of like a victory lap, but with blood and guts. The tour starts on March 11th so you could potentially see the movie a whole month before it comes out on April 5th. Usually these kind of tours come with special events like meeting the director or stars of the film, so keep your eye out for more news. Meanwhile, you can read the full list of cities below. Keep in mind, so far they’ve only announced the cities. No theater information yet, but we’ll let you know as soon as they announce it.
Five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin where they discover a Book of the Dead and unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival. Based on the original 1979 film made famous by Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell.

Excited for the remake of Evil Dead?

It would be nice if you noted which theaters…
That’s actually part of the information they haven’t released yet. One would think that if they had the cities, they would know the theaters, but I guess they’re gonna wait till sometimes next week to tell us. I’ll be sure to note that in the article.
ahhhhh too many questions, ha! Would love to see an early release, but how will they do tickets? First come, first serve? Will there be multiple screenings?
I reached out to the studio to see if they could give us more information and I haven’t heard anything yet. I think this is probably going to be one of those situations where they’ll invite people to RSVP for their tickets at some point.
Yeah, after a little googling found out the Orlando early screening is already sold out, lol! This is gonna be so much fun! Thursday, April 4th, 12:01 AM here we come!
Based on the original 1979 film? It was filmed in 81′ ~ Released in 83.
