It has certainly taken its time, but Neil Meschino’s 80′s throwback flick Mold! has thankfully been picked up and a DVD release is imminent. In fact, you’ll soon be able to have your very own copy of Mold! on DVD as Wild Eye Releasing will be unleashing the sickness this May 21st.
Along with the artwork which you can view below, we have also scored the official DVD trailer for you guys to check out. Lets just say, if you’re a fan of such 80′s classics as Street Trash, then Mold! is definitely one for you, basically it looks like all kinds of awesome!
Synopsis: “It’s 1984, and the war on drugs just got weird. A classified government project is underway to create a new weapon to combat the drug cartels. That weapon is a fast-growing, genetically engineered strain of mold designed to wipe out coca fields – the only problem is, this MOLD also feeds on human flesh! And when the murderous mildew is mysteriously released in a secret lab, it wages its own war on a group of unsuspecting scientists and military officials, who are forced to fight their way to safety while trying to contain the MOLD before it is unleashed on the world. “
