Two More TV Spots for Jurassic Park 3D

Chris Savage

Last week we gave you guys the first two TV spots for the upcoming 3D release of Jurassic Park, and now we have scored two more for you guys to check out below. Now, while I’m definitely not big on the whole 3D gimmick, I’m just super stoked that this one is back in theatres, and a chance for us to relieve some cinematic gold once again.

I agree. The re-release of ‘Jurassic Park’ in third dimension seems cool. More than likely, I will go see it. Though, to be honest, I rather despise 3D movies (except the cheesy ones back ih the 80’s when I was a kid, hello ‘Parasite 3D’, one please!) The thing I hate about 3D today is how the movies are more darker than they really should be. (they were murky back then too, but I was a kid, I didn’t know any better, Jason’s barn looked okay to me) Ever take your glasses off and look at how dim the nighttime scenes are? Very annoying. It really bothers me. The only good thing that comes out of watching 3D movies at the theater is the fact that less people have their mugs stuck in their glowing cell phones. That bothers me more. Makes me growl like a monster; like Big Foot. Now, I guess for the cartoons, the ones that seem to come out everytime I go to the john, (yawn), the process can be very appealing, but for horror films, which I enjoy, (Texas Chainsaw, 2D, only please) forget it. Besides, for true film lovers, the ones that want to get to the heart of the story, they shouldn’t be that interested in things flying off the screen at them. (unless it’s a mindless story of action, mayhem, and, perhaps, Sharon Stone crossing her legs) I dunno. Maybe I just love movies way too much to be seen treated as a joke. Besides, I remember back in the 80’s, when I took a college film course, we studied ‘Citizen Kane’, not ‘Jaws 3D’. (though, at the time, that probably would of been fun, too!)

Thanks for the comment, and yes, I totally agree. Love the Sharon Stone reference! :)

The movies I have seen in 3D have often impressed me because of the depth of field. It’s not about things flying out at the screen. Some crappy films do try this on every now and then but in the main the majority of the films concentrate on creating depth of field that adds to the realism. Jurassic park was so cinematic back in 1993. I was gobsmacked. 3D will serve it well, but will time?
