Seems there have been two big stories this year with regards to Walking Dead. The first one is obviously when are Daryl and Carol going to get it on? The second story is all the intrigue going on behind the scenes. Thankfully this bit of news doesn’t involve anyone leaving or being replaced like, say, a showrunner.
Instead the Walking Dead team is welcoming two new members this year. Curtis Gwinn (Death Valley) and Canning Powell (White Collar) are jumping aboard the Walking Dead ship to help out with writing duties in the new season. They duo will be joining current writers Scott Gimple (Current Showrunner), Robert Kirkman, Matt Negrete and a few others.
It’s been reported before that season 4 of the Walking Dead will veer more towards character interaction and have less action, so it’s interesting to see extra hands brought in to help shape the drama that’s sure to come. One has to wonder if they felt the need to do so after losing the previous showrunner Glenn Mazzara.
