Here’s the First Zombieland TV Show Trailer!

Jason McDonald 7 Comments

When Amazon announced that it was turning the insanely popular Zombieland movie into a TV series, the news was met with a mixture of anticipation and dread. If they managed to pull it off, they’d have a zombie series on their hands that could easily challenge the Walking Dead.  If they screwed it up though…well… there’s nothing quite like a pissed off group of horror fans.

Today we finally have our first look at the Amazon Zombieland series via a brand new trailer to mark the debut of the series’ pilot on Amazon.

UPDATE: Originally our story read that the video would be available today, but it appears that this might be an error.  Despite the claims made in the video, the pilot isn’t available on Amazon yet.  Some reports indicate that it should be up tomorrow, April 18th.  We’ll let you know more soon!

For now, you can monitor this link for the video download.

Another important detail to remember about this pilot episode is that the fan reaction to it will determine the future of the show.  A lukewarm reception could mean an early death for this series.  So whether you love it or hate it, make your voice heard and let Amazon know how you feel.

Zombieland is based on the hit Columbia Pictures movie of the same name, and finds four survivors outwitting zombies and searching for a place to call home. The Zombieland pilot comes from the feature film’s original creative team, writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (G.I. Joe: Retaliation, The Joe Schmo Show), and producer Gavin Polone (Gilmore Girls, Curb Your Enthusiasm). Eli Craig (Tucker and Dale vs. Evil) is directing the pilot.

The part of Tallahassee will be played by Kirk Ward (The Island), Maiara Walsh (Desperate Housewives, Switched at Birth,) is cast as Wichita, Tyler Ross (Milkshake) will play Columbus, and Izabela Vidovic has the role of Little Rock.

Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think!

I absolutely hate the voiceover it does not fit at all and totally destroys the tone of the trailer. Otherwise it was ‘ok’

I’ve never done Amazon instant video before, but it says it’s 29 minutes and that I own it, but all I get is a “coming soon” add. Did I do something wrong?
