The Los Angeles Times has just announced their lineup for this year’s Hero Complex Film Festival and it’s sure to please horror fans.
This year the festival will run from May 10th to the 12th at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood, California. The first day will include a double feature of They Live and Halloween along with an appearance by director John Carpenter. Saturday has two separate events which include Frank Darabont hosting a screening of his film The Mist and Guillermo Del Toro handling a double feature of Pan’s Labyrinth and The Devil’s Backbone. Finally, on Sunday, Roland Emmerich will host a screening of Independence Day and Chris Carter will make an appearance for a special 20th Anniversary screening of three X-Files episodes: “Pilot”, “Clyde Bruckman’s Final Repose” and “Jose Chung’s from Outer Space.”
Tickets are $20 for each event. There was a festival pass, but that’s already sold out. Yeah, these tickets move fast. If you’re interested in going, buy yours as soon as you can. I’ve already picked up mine for the John Carpenter event (insert fanboy squeal) so I’ll see you there!
