John Cusack and Julianne Moore Take Map to the Stars

Jason McDonald

David Cronenberg’s next film is a bit of a Hollywood ghost story and so far the production has landed several big stars. John Cusack (The Raven) and Julianne Moore (upcoming Carrie) are joining Robert Pattinson (Twilight) and Sarah Gadon (Antiviral) in Cronenberg’s Map to the Stars.

The Hollywood Reporter is saying that the “indie drama offers a ghost story and critique of celebrity-obsessed society in Los Angeles.”  The script is being handled by Bruce Wagner, who horror fans will remember for writing Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors.

No word on who the actors will be playing, but I hope beyond all hope that John Cusack plays someone with an unhealthy obsession for Robert Pattinson.  Oh! What a delight that would be. Just give me a scene where Cusack is standing outside of Pattinson’s window while holding a boombox in the air.

Great match-up. I live in the Chicago area and love both of the Cusack’s. My sister taught Julianne Moore. So – good luck to both of you.
