Dawn of the Planet of the Apes New Photos / Details

I am a massive fan of the original Planet of the Apes movies and have to concede that the upcoming Dawn of the Planet of the Apes looks extremely promising. Directed by Matt Reeves who brought us many solid genre films including Cloverfield and Let Me in it is the sequel to the 2011 movie Rise of the Planet of The Apes movie directed by Rupert Wyatt.

The film is currently shooting in New Orleans and a whole slew of new photos have made their way onto the internet showing what the future will look like once the Dawn of the Apes has arrived and it is not pretty.

The biggest question raised from the new set photos is what is the significance of the signs that say 'Human Nation'. They are not subtle at all so its clear the humans are not hiding underground but what is the meaning of the signs and their prominence?

Set many years after Rise of the Planet of the Apes a growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.

Checkout the new set photos here and let me know are you excited for more Planet of the Apes? What did you think of Rupert Wyatts remake?
