Shawn Lewis has been promising a bug announcement regarding the next Black Devil Doll project and today we got it. Lowest Common Denominator Entertainment is going into production on a Black Devil Doll sitcom which will comprise of a 6-part, 30 minute per episode television series. Currently they are keeping most of the cast and plot details locked down for now. But they did release a couple key points.
- 6-parts, 30 minutes per episode…over 3 hours.
- 1980′s-style sitcom, shot on sets, super fast-paced, with a laughtrack, a cheeseball theme song
- The first 2 episodes will be premiering at the New Beverly Theater in Hollywood.
- The entire sitcom will available on DVD and Blu-Ray dual-disc box sets as well as available on VOD.
In order to get this thing off the ground the crew has gone to indiegogo to ask for funding. All of the money from the campaign will go right to production. They are going to cover all of pre-production and post production costs. It will be interesting to see how this unfolds. I’m not sure about the format, but anything with Black Devil Doll in it has caught my interest. Check out their pitch video below and if you want to contribute check out their indiegogo page.
