I absolutely love indie horror. This is where originality is very much alive and well. A place where you can truly express yourself without making certain cuts or edits to please the suits. So, if you love indie horror as much as me, you will be pleased to know that we have just got word of a new one and you can be a part of it.
Jordan Morris recently hit me up in regards to his latest UK horror project, The House On Abbott’s Ridge, which is said to be a documentary style flick which blends aspects of The Shining and The Last Exorcism.
The film so far sounds intriguing, although I’m sure many of you are fed up of the whole ghost hunters aspect, but I’m willing to go out on a limb with this one. If you too think this one may have potential, then hit up their KickStarter page and see how you can help.
Before you guys make any judgement, go hit up their official website, and check out their past works. These guys certainly seem to know what they’re doing, here’s hoping we may have a gem in the rough.
The story is as follows;
Samuel Morton built his career chasing ghosts on TV. Following a personnel tragedy, he decides to make an exposé revealing the truth about ghost hunters and show the public how ghosts are faked for entertainment. He assembles a crew, rents a supposedly haunted house and sets out to debunk the whole thing.
It quickly becomes clear that all is not as it seems and something, or someone, is in the house with them. As Sam’s grip on reality begins to slip, the crew start to question his motives and how far he’ll go to achieve them.
When people start dying and their footage is being tampered with only one question remains, do you believe in ghosts?
