Jurassic Park 4 has been a wild ride so far. There were long periods where it looked like the film was dead and then suddenly new life was blown into the project thanks to the arrival of director Colin Trevorrow. Then members of the crew took to Twitter to announce the project was dead only to have that news debunked. And now this week has seen a flurry of rumors and mini-announcements. Which you can read about here.
So what’s the latest development? Joblo is reporting that they’ve learned some pretty amazing plot details from a “trusted and reliable source.” The plot details could potentially be a spoiler for the movie, so we’ll just give you the basic information here. If you want the full scoop, be sure to visit Joblo’s site. Remember, potential spoilers!
The new film will return to Isla Nublar and will feature a fully functional Jurassic Park. That’s right, some crazy bastard actually went back to rebuild Jurassic Park. Only this time they were successful. The park is now a popular tourist attraction, receiving 10 million guests a year, and features “tamed” dinos and a new lagoon section that’ll showcase underwater dinos (Yaaaay!). However, everything goes to shit when a new dinosaur proves to be far more intelligent and dangerous than anyone could have imagined.
So far the plot points match up with some of the things director Colin Trevorrow have said. In previous tweets and conversations he has revealed that the new film would return to Isla Nublar and he has said that the new dino would make you “keep the lights on after you see this movie.” However, those details are vague enough to work with any story. Still, if this turns out to be the basis for the plot of the new movie I think I’d be excited. It’s certainly the best concept I’ve heard so far regarding this project.
