Cool Concept Art for The Conjuring Anabelle Doll

Goon 2 Comments Movie Page: The Conjuring

Today artist Luca Nemolato revealed some early concept art he did for James Wan’s The Conjuring. He did some early work on what the doll from the film would look like. According to him he did all of the work using Photoshop. In real life the doll was nothing more that a Ragedy Anne doll but for the movie they had to make her a bit more spooky.

The final doll used in the movie is still quite a bit different than what we see here but it still makes it interesting to see where they started. Check them out below.

Synopsis: Before there was Amityville, there was Harrisville. Based on a true story, “The Conjuring” tells the horrifying tale of how world-renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren were called upon to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in a secluded farmhouse. Forced to confront a powerful demonic entity, the Warrens find themselves caught in the most terrifying case of their lives.

I think i like the one they went with for the movie, the best. Although it is a Raggedy Anne doll on real life…

Yea. I think just keeping it a Raggedy Anne doll would have been creepy enough. Those things have scared the shit out of me since I was a kid. Mostly cause of that account. Been a huge fan of the Warrens since I was a kid. Plus a friend’s sister had both Anne and Andy, and… lemme just say, sleepovers were terrifying. Until I got older, and she got older, and well… yea. ;)
