Decide Agent Cole’s Fate in New Vid for “The Bureau: XCOM Declassified”

A few days ago we shared with you a live-action commercial for “The Bureau: XCOM Declassified” which featured clowns, aliens, and menacing figures in the shadows.  The intrigue continues today with another video that takes place after the events set off in the first video.

The video stars Dominic Monaghan (“Lost” and “Lord of the Rings”) as Agent Ennis Cole, one of the special agents who responded to the alien attack.  Things didn’t go so well though and Agent Cole suffers a heavy loss.  The video then ends with the viewers being given a morbid choice to make.  Agent Cole can either pick up the bottle or pick up his gun.  It isn’t explicitly said, but it looks like his only choice is to delve deeper into an alcoholic stupor or blow his brains out.  Or maybe grabbing the gun leads him to kick alien ass.  It isn’t made very clear.

Fans can determine the fate of Agent Cole by tweeting out #GrabTheGun or #GrabTheBottle by 7/24/13.  The option with the most votes will then, presumably, be made into another video update. Check it out below and let us know what you think.

The year is 1962, JFK is President and the Cold War has the nation gripped by fear- but a far more powerful enemy than communism is threatening America.  Known only to a select few, a top-secret government unit called “The Bureau” begins investigating and concealing a series of mysterious attacks by an otherworldly enemy.  As special agent William Carter, players call the shots, pull the trigger and lead their squad in a gripping third-person tactical shooter set within high-stakes, covert war to protect humanity.  The Bureau’s mission is clear- survive, adapt, and overcome the enemy threat.  The Bureau has been erasing the truth for decades.  The time will come for the truth to be revealed.

The game is being developed by 2K Marin and will hit XBox 360, PS3, and PC on August 20, 2013.
