Predator Gets 3D Treatment

Goon 2 Comments

Predator Gets 3D TreatmentEarlier we reported that some interesting things were going on in the Predator camp. Early speculation was that a new film could be on the way and San Diego Comic Con would be the perfect place to make such an announcement. Unfortunately that is not the case.

Hero Complex has learned that Predator is going to be converted to 3D on blu ray. A little disappointing on several fronts. Most of which is that we will not be getting a new film but also that 3D conversion is never that impressive. The one cool thing though is that if you do happen to be at Comic Con you can get a mini figure that will hold your decapitated head. They’ll simply take a picture of you and then use a 3D printer to give you a one of a kind figure. Not a bad idea.

No release date is known for the release of the 3D blu ray but I’m sure once Friday rolls around we will have a good idea.

Absolutely gutted! Maybe one day we will have a sequel, or perhaps a kick-ass Predator game that doesn’t involve Aliens. I like the idea of the whole mini figure thing. Pretty cool.

Bummer, was really excited about another Predator movie, Love all 3 pred flix and was hoping this was going to be a new sequel instead of another crappy 3-d rendering of a classic film, Would love to see the return of Dutch ( as a somewhat knowledgeable military liason ) yet even ill admit – Arnold is looking a bit craggy these days ( and not in a good way as was supposed to be in ‘The Expendables 2′ or ‘The Last Stand’ )
Instead of a new movie that the cool poster hinted at, We get a b.s cop-out that we all know is 20th century fox fishing to see if their is interest still in the Predator franchise, Of course their is and not in those god awful AVP atrocities, I was even prepping for a somewhat return of Adrian Brody as royce ( if we have to ) , Am now bummed out big time !!!
