Chris Savage 4 Comments

A few months back we gave you guys word that MTV were planning to adapt Wes Craven’s Scream into a TV series, and while details were slim they aren’t exactly much better now. However, at least we now know just who will be penning this one.

According to Deadline, Jay Beattie and Dan Dworkin (Criminal Minds) have been attached to pen the pilot for MTV’s Scream TV series, which is based upon the film series of the same name.

At this time, Wes Craven is said to be in talks to direct the series for MTV, but quite frankly, everything is still pretty much in the dark, so who knows if this one actually takes off.

Sound off below and lets hear what you think?

God damn it, why is Scream 5 such a taboo?

I’m really not looking foward to this. It’s on MTV for a start and now no Kevin Williamson!!!

If this doesn’t get Wes Craven directing it’s bound to fail. I don’t think MTV understand what horror fans want and like.

I have hope, now. MTV isn’t the best, but it has some good shows like Awkward, and at times, Teen Wolf. Criminal Minds is a good TV show, with good ratings, so here’s to hoping that they produce a good pilot.
