You’re the Last Defense in The Bureau: XCOM Declassified

Aliens are coming and guess what? You’re the best hope humanity has of kicking their ass.  The latest trailer for “The Bureau: XCOM Declassified” may have a familiar set-up, but below the surface, this game is like nothing else I’ve seen.  From it’s 1960s setting to the crazy combination of skills, powers, and weapons “The Bureau” is looking to turn heads just like it’s predecessor, “XCOM: Enemy Unknown”, did when it debuted last year.

The trailer below displays how players can use their squadmates’ various powers to flank and outmaneuver their alien opponents.  This opens things for a wide array of tactics. You can have one squadmate drop a turret and then have another levitate it in the air so that it can shoot over the cover of enemies.  And, honestly, that’s pretty damn cool.  However, just like in past XCOM games, death is permanent.  One mistake could cost you everything.

The game is being developed by 2K Marin and is expected to hit Xbox 360, PS3 and PCs on August 20, 2013.
