The Wicker Man: The Final Cut Gets a Trailer

I’m confused. I’ve watched this trailer several times and I don’t see Nicolas Cage anywhere.  Is this a different movie or something?

Okay, now that horror fans are bleeding out of their eye sockets, here’s the real news.  StudioCanal has released a trailer for their upcoming theater release of “The Wicker Man: The Final Cut.”  The trailer, which you can view below, is beautifully done and features a fantastically chilling musical score.  More than anything, it’s really reignited my anticipation of this release.   The film will hit theaters on September 27th and then you’ll be able to own the blu-ray version on October 14th.

“The Wicker Man” is a cult horror classic in which a devout Christian policeman (Edward Woodward) is summoned to a remote Scottish island to investigate the disappearance of a child. While there he uncovers a bizarre pagan cult, led by Lord Summerisle (Christopher Lee). As preparations for a sinister ritual celebration reach fever pitch, the policeman begins to realise what role the islanders intend him to play. Britt Ekland and Ingrid Pitt co-star.
