As I was saying earlier this week, this years Toronto International Film Festival, is one of the best I have seen, and well, that’s saying something as every year they seem to pull out all the stops. But, with films like Marvin Kren’s Austrian creature feature flick The Station, we are in for a bloody good time. So, head on down below for the awesome official trailer and a few photos.

Synopsis: At a climate research station in the Alps, the scientists are stunned as the nearby melting glacier is leaking a red liquid. It quickly turns to be very special juice — with unexpected genetic effects on the local wildlife.

Looks like a terrestrial (as opposed to “extra-terrestrial”) spin on Carpenter’s The Thing. Also some clear commentary on global warming, if even a bit on bio-terrorism as well. If the CG is done well and sparingly, and the acting is good, this has a lot of promise.

Looks interesting. Agree with DanofDarkness in that it has the look of Carpenter’s The Thing, along with bit parts of either The Blob (strange “red” substance) and The Thaw (eco-horror in remote Northern location). But seriously, that tag line “On the mountain, no one can hear you scream”, haha what a riot (Alien rip-off all the way!). That definitely has go to go. How about using this one in their promo, “A little RED, will leave you DEAD.”
