American Horror Story Gets a New Poster and Cast Member

The people behind the marketing of “American Horror Story: Coven” keep upping the ante when it comes to how they’re promoting the latest season.  However, I wouldn’t expect any less from them.  These were the people, that at one point, offered to prank your friends by placing a man in a gimp suit in their house.

This latest poster is much tamer than that marketing stunt, but it’s also much more thought provoking.  Check it out below, it’ll get you all tongue twisted.

Meanwhile, the cast has just gotten a new edition in the form of man-sized eye candy.  Deadline is reporting that actor Alexander Dreymon has been cast in the series as the “handsome young man who moves in next door to the Academy.”  Surely nothing bad will happen to him.

Over 300 years have passed since the turbulent days of the Salem witch trials, and those who managed to escape are now facing extinction. Mysterious attacks have been escalating against their kind, and young girls are being sent away to a special school in New Orleans to learn how to protect themselves. Wrapped up in the turmoil is new arrival Zoe (Taissa Farmiga), who is harboring a terrifying secret of her own. Alarmed by the recent aggression, Fiona (Jessica Lange), the long-absent Supreme, sweeps back into town, determined to protect the Coven and hell-bent on decimating anyone who gets in her way.

This season stars Frances Conroy, Taissa Farmiga, Jessica Lange, Alexandra Breckenridge, Kathy Bates, Lily Rabe, Sarah Paulson, Jamie Brewer, Evan Peters, Gabourey Sidibe, Angela Bassett, Patti Lupone, and Denis O’Hare.  It kicks off on October 9th.
