With James Wan’s Insidious Chapter 2 currently playing in theatres, the early box office numbers have come in and what do you know? James Wan has hit big yet again and proving once more that he knows a thing or two when it comes to getting you guys into the theatre.
According to Deadline, Insidious Chapter 2, has come in with an estimated $43.0 million for the weekend. Of course, it is the Friday the 13th weekend, and people are out for a good scare, but did they get what they wanted?
Reviews are hit and miss at the moment, but still, James Wan has hit it big and Jason Blum and Oren Peli must be grinning from ear to ear considering that the film was made on a budget of $5M, so it’s a pretty hefty return.
There has been a lot of talk that James Wan is leaving the genre, and if so, why not leave on a high? Is it too early to call James Wan a master of horror? I don’t think so, and it is a title I think he totally deserves.
And who can forget the cast? They totally deserve praise too, and I’m so happy to see Lin Shaye still doing what she loves as basically, she is awesome!
Anyway, if you guys went to see this one, let us know what you thought of it and go vote HERE.
