What with Spike Lee helming the remake of Oldboy, it appears we now know just who will be helming the remake of the recently announced remake of Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance. Head on down for the early word on this one.
According to The Wrap, Hany Abu-Assad (Paradise Now) has been tapped to direct the English-language remake of Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance.
So with a director now attached, the hunt is on to cast the lead roles. As it is still very early days we have no word on that, but be safe in the fact that we will let you know when the day comes. But, who would you like to see star in the remake?
The original film follows a deaf-mute man whose attempt to pay for his sister’s kidney transplant spawns a series of violent encounters.
