First Details for Jason Figgis’ The Ecstasy of Isabel Mann

Chris Savage

For you guys today, we have just got wind of a new vampire flick on the horizon from the award winning film and TV director from Ireland, Jason Figgis (Children of a Darker Dawn, A Christmas Carol, The Twilight Hour). His latest flick is entitled The Ecstasy of Isabel Mann, and judging by these details and the bloody photo we have below for you, this one is going to be killer!

Okay, whenever I hear of “day walking” vampires, I either think of, dare I say it, Twilight, or of course Blade. Thankfully, The Ecstasy of Isabel Mann, looks and sounds to be an awesome indie vampire flick minus all the sparkles, and I hope many of you will check out.

While we have no release details, I am told that the film is nearing its completion date, which should be around this Winter, so keep those eyes peeled.

SynopsisThe Ecstasy of Isabel Mann is the story of troubled teenager Isabel Mann (Ellen Mullen – Children of a Darker Dawn) who is seduced into an incredibly violent sect of day-walking vampires. Her class mates start to go missing and two detectives; Witham (Neill Fleming – Game of Thrones, A Christmas Carol, Portrait of a Zombie) and Barrett (Matthew Toman – Don’t You Recognise Me?) believe her to be the prime suspect.

Nothing is quite as it seems for those about her as the disturbed teenager runs amok killing at will in the woodlands by her home; aided by her vampire guides Mirjana (Mirjana Rendulic – Amber) and Alejo (newcomer Karim Elgendy) who are training her in the art of the kill – with horrifically bloody results for those closest to her.
