Sneak Peak Walking Dead Season 4, Episode 2 ‘Infected’

Herner Klenthur 1 Comment Movie Page: The Walking Dead

Episode 1 of the Walking Dead Season 4 arrived last week and to put it candidly it was a smash hit with the fans. The question now is will tonights episode ramp things up a notch and keep fans of the hit AMC show intrigued?

Episode 1 of Season 4 was pretty solid introducing a few new key characters and killing one of them off just as quickly. Bob Stookey finally made his appearance and it did not take long for his demons to show. His complex character will be a great addition to Season 4. Richard who reviewed the show for our site summed up his thoughts of the new episode writing;

All in all it was a great episode, a terrific start to the new season and rewarding for people who like story, gore, and character development. The only thing it lacked is, as mentioned before, the Governor. It would have been okay if they left out the Governor as long as they set up what happened to him or what happened to him, but the episode glanced over it without a thought as if he wasn’t a big part of the previous season at all. If you are a fan of the show, certainly be forgiving of this because they did announce that the audience would find out eventually.

But keep in mind that the episode did improve on many things since the last season such as Rick’s “insanity” is a bit more believable, Daryl feels like he has a job fully respected by the people, and Carl is suddenly not as annoying. Another plus was that, unlike the season three finale, it delivered. The episode did the best it could with the exception of the Governor, but it is plausible that his absence is brilliant in the terms of the story and we just haven’t seen it yet. If only we could speed up time and binge watch this season on Netflix.

Below you can checkout a sneak peak look at Episode 2 which is entitled ‘Infected’. Episode 1 ended with a brand new outbreak and my prediction is that the once safe and stable environment of the Prison will very quickly turn into hell in a hand bag forcing Rick and the rest of the survivors to flee.  In the second episode of Walking Dead Season Four the group faces a brand new enemy and Rick and the others must fight to protect the livelihood they worked so hard to create at the prison.

In related news the cast of The Walking Dead continues to grow as more and more characters start showing up. We know that Abraham ( played by Michael Cudlitz ) will finally make his appearance in Season 4 but so will Dr Eugene Porter played by Josh McDermitt.

Below lie SPOILERS from the comics, so, if you wish not to know, DO NOT proceed further.

In the Image/Skybound comics, Eugene is a former high school science teacher who first appears in the 53rd issue of the series. He travels with sports coach/Army Sgt. Abraham Ford (Cudlitz) and Rosita (new recurring player Christian Serratos).

The trio eventually crosses paths with Rick as they make their way to Washington. However, unbeknown to Rick as well as eventual couple Abraham and Rosita, Eugene is lying when he claims to know what caused the zombie outbreak and instead is using the physically superior former sports coach to protect him.

The character remains alive in the comics and proves to be a key part of Rick’s group, using his science know-how to manufacture ammunition.

Are you excited for tonight? Be sure to check back in later for our recap of the episode and of course our open discussion on The Walking Dead.

        Glad to see this season change the pace. I loved the previous season and the finale. It was genius! And put a lot of people into a stir. And if a TV show does that to you then they have DONE their job! Glad to see the Walkers in a more gorier and creepier scenario and also character development has improved.
