Dark Sky Films Acquires Willow CreekBobcat Goldthwait’s latest flick, Willow Creek, is one flick I’m super anxious to check out, I loved his previous flick God Bless America, so I can only hope he delivers when it comes to this Sasquatch flick. If you too are stoked to check this one out, you’ll be pleased to know that the film has scored U.S. distribution.

According to Deadline, MPI has acquired the U.S. rights to Willow Creek through Dark Sky Films. The film is expected to be released theatrically in the Spring of 2014, stay tuned for an official release date soon.

The film follows “aspiring documentarian (Bryce Johnson) and his skeptical actress girlfriend (Alexie Gilmore) as they take a tour of Northern California‚Äôs Trinity National Forest in search of Sasquatch.”

Bobcat has made some real good movies. If people can get past the shock value they’d see hes making some real good points

I saw “Willow Creek” this past summer at Fantasia. Barely an hour and 10 minutes of total crap. Exactly the same scenario, almost scene-for-scene (interviewing villagers of the legend; hearing sounds while inside their tent at night; arguing when getting lost; abrupt, weird ending) like the Blair Witch Project.

        Not recommended.

Simon did we end up posting the review for it? I know we had some email issues while you were at Fantasia. Email me :)

I can’t wait to see it, because I actually grew up and lived there most of my life.
