Don’t Look in the Basement Part 2 In the Works

S.F. Brownrigg’s Don’t Look in the Basement Part 2 is coming up on its 40th Anniversary and something special is on the way. His son, Anthony Brownrigg, wants to finish the story. The original left a couple of questions unanswered so he wants to answer them and finish the story his father began.

The script is finished, the cast is mostly in place and they even have the original home from the first film secured. On top of that, Camilla Carr, will be coming back for a special cameo role. She played “Harriet” in the original film.

Anthony Brownrigg has been a really busy guy working on Freeborn but he recently had some funding come through so that he can do this sequel. Although to really make the movie shine he will need an addition 30K that he will be using for cast, food, and for lots and lots and lots of blood, and some bizarre makeup effects.

If have never backed a horror project before I would highly suggest you take a look at this one. Give the man a chance to finish the story his father began nearly 40 years ago. Of all the years I have been writing for this site I have gotten to know a good portion of filmmakers and Brownrigg is honestly one of the most genuine guys I’ve met. So if you are sick of Hollywood remaking films left and right or relying solely on CGI, put your money where your mouth is. Even if you are not interested in this particular film, show Hollywood that we are interested in more than just a flashy cast and special FX. We want to see some genuine heart behind films again.

Check out his pitch video below along with an early poster design and be sure to head over to the indiegogo project and chip in just $10 or even $5. Every bit helps these guys and I promise you every bit of it will be put up on the screen.
