First Theatrical Trailer for Raze

Chris Savage

Josh Waller’s latest flick Raze, has been receiving a ton of hype from various sites over the past few months, and because of that, my expectations have grown tenfold. But, upon viewing the official theatrical trailer (see below courtesy of Yahoo! Movies), I’m kind of a little lost, it just doesn’t do anything for me.

However, it may just be me and my taste in films suck, but go check it out below and let us know your thoughts?

The film stars Zoe Bell, Rachel Nichols, Tracie Thoms, Doug Jones, and Sherilyn Fenn.

Synopsis: Stuntwoman-turned-action-star Zoe Bell (Death Proof) headlines this sly subversion of the women-in-prison genre. When Sabrina is mysteriously abducted, she finds herself in an underground lair, forced to do battle with other innocents for the amusement of unseen spectators. Each of these reluctant warriors has something to lose, but only one will remain when the game is done. Violent and relentless, Raze takes its video game aesthetic to the deepest and darkest places, rarely surfacing for air.

Look for the film in limited theatres this January 10th.

Saw it at Fantasia, with the gorgeous (you might not think she’s gorgeous in the movie, but she is) Australian main actress and the director present.

Veey solid movie depicting violence between women whereas usual movies of this type have fake-breasted women, half-naked on top of each other to try to arouse the male audience.

This movie does NOT take that route.

Do you mean Zoe Bell? I thought she was from New Zealand? REGARDLESS I completely agree :)

Yes, my bad. You’re correct; the entire movie was from New Zealand, actually. But her accent and her looks were stunning.

I stopped making some after I saw that they weren’t being posted. But as soon as I have a few minutes, I’ll go back to the Fantasia Schedule and see which movies I saw and send you some more reviews. Thanks, by the way.
