Well, I suggest you get the pen and paper at the ready as we have just got word of the official release date for Insidious: Chapter 3.

Thanks to our friends over at B-D, we can reveal that the film has locked in a release date for April 3, 2015.

At this time details regarding the film are slim and we have no word as to who will be directing the film for FilmDistrict and Sony Pictures.

So that means they are going to start making sequels and prequels until the movies don’t make anymore money.

Love it great movie can’t wait to see the second this weekend. Love movies that don’t rely on cgi to make a movie. Bring it!

Insidious was very memorable and very chilling at moments, to me, it was really great. Even if it had third act that ran out of ideas. The second part was NOT as bad as sequels usually are and it was mildly amusing.

But wow, do we really need to stop pumping out as much money as we can make off of something. The ending to the sequel DID call for a threequel, but can they PLEASE leave it there? Where Paranormal Activity and Saw should have been left off too?

I like it but it doesn’t need a another one but the ending of it does tease a 3rd movie.

The first movie’s concept was different and neat. But the second film was a disater. They need to stop while they are ahead. Do not make movie after movie that cause any favorable opinion for the first movie to completely be wiped away. Just STOP!

      26. Brian Molina November 24, 2013 at 6:11 pm

I say go ahead might as well .at least its a atempt at horror and not a crappy remake.

      27. John Hughes November 24, 2013 at 6:40 pm

Cool. First 2 chapters are good

      28. Levi Everaerts November 24, 2013 at 6:50 pm

……….the death of horror right here

      29. Jade St Darko November 24, 2013 at 7:05 pm

I guess I’m weird for actually really enjoying the first Insidious. I thought the second one was okay albeit a little lackluster when it came to scares. But still. I think people just like to tear movies to shreds anymore with bad publicity.

      30. Shawn Payer November 24, 2013 at 7:15 pm

Insidious 1 & 2 are among the worst movies I’ve ever seen next to The Purge. These are a disgrace to the horror genre. The effects and costumes are about as realistic as Wal-Mart. The second movie was even worse than the first one, we broke out into laughter until we cried throughout parts as it was so cheesy.

      34. Steven Alan Garrett November 25, 2013 at 2:53 am

Can never be as bad as the 10 land before times sequels.

      35. Stephen Waters November 25, 2013 at 2:54 am

Hollywood NEEDS to go back and watch some GOOD horror movies…..come back and realize just how much CRAP they are spoonfeeding everyone! I dunno how many times they can make the same movies over and over and over again but yet change the name of it and get a cast of young teens…and their car breaks down….or a CGI boogeyman/ghost….etc. How about use CGI when CGI can be useful and make the efx REAL!! CGI is badly hurting the horror genre!!!

      36. ibernard November 25, 2013 at 4:08 am

2015? I mean, really. But I loved both movies. Did you hear me, Mr Hard Candy Patrick Wilson?

      37. NanaDonna Castello November 25, 2013 at 4:40 am

Part 1 was okay until Dad flew off to the otherside to find his kid. Dumb.

Hey look we explained everything in 1 and 2, lets make a third one where we reveal that we were lying.

When Insidious came out, it was refreshing that the industry still had some “classic horror” roots in them. It was the first horror movie in a long time that had that feel to it and I loved it.

I thought Chapter 2 was a great follow up and they did an excellent job filling in some of the holes from the first film and explaining why some of the things that happened in the first one happened.

They should definitely have stopped there though. Not looking forward to this one.
