According to the site, Kirk Acevedo (“Fringe”, “The Walking Dead”) has boarded the project, and he will play the role of “Ramse, Cole’s (Nikita’s Aaron Stanford) closest friend in the apocalyptic future. He’s clever and fiercely loyal and helped Cole survive the destruction of civilization. While Cole travels through time, Ramse proves critical to the survival of the team that makes it possible.”

Acevedo joins the previously announced cast of Amanda Schull, Noah Bean and guest star Zeljko Ivanek.

The drama is based upon Terry Gilliam’s feature film of the same name which, “centers on a time traveler from the postapocalyptic future who appears in the present day on a mission to locate and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will eventually decimate the human race.”

Terry Matalas and Travis Fickett are penning the script while  Natalie Chaidez is serving as the drama’s showrunner.
