Syfy’s 12 Monkeys Television Show Begins to Cast Up

A couple of weeks back it was confirmed that Syfy will be creating a TV series based upon Terry Gilliam’s feature film 12 Monkeys, and today the word has come for the first piece of casting news for the upcoming project.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Aaron Stanford (X-Men: The Last Stand) and Amanda Schull (Pretty Little Liars) have been tapped to star in the pilot with Jeffrey Reiner on directing duties as well as serving as executive producer.

Natalie Chaidez has boarded the project as showrunner.

The original film ,which you are all well aware of centered on a “time traveler from the postapocalyptic future who appears in the present day on a mission to locate and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will eventually decimate the human race.”

I am always going to be skeptical, but who knows, maybe this could work. But then again, maybe not.
