Paul Walker has died in a car accident leaving a legacy of films behind and a reminder that life is to short and very precious.
Although not one of the biggest names in Hollywood he is noted as a nice guy by fans and has contributed films to the cinema landscape that will ensure his legacy lives on well into the future.
Paul Walker who was born in 1973 is best known to mainstream movie fans for his work in the Fast and the Furious Franchise which is one of the most profitable series ever made having brought in over $2billion world wide.
Fast And the Furious is also what launched Paul from a relative unknown to the frontpages of the mainstream media.
Paul Walker before he was famous made his mark in the superb 2001 horror movie Joy Ride where he co-starred alongside Steve Zahn and LeeLee Sobieski. Paul also starred in the 2000 thriller ‘The Skulls’ about the secret society at Stanford University.
Paul Walker was in town for a charity event and according to reports was a passenger in the car that he was killed in. The following is the official statement posted on his Facebook page;
It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide.
He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news.
