The Teaser for Salem Might Be a Witch

WGN’s first original scripted TV series “Salem” has debuted a brand new teaser trailer which has made me very suspicious of everyone.  Maybe I’m a witch and I don’t even know it!  I have to drown myself, it’s the only way to be sure.

While I get the bath ready, why don’t you watch the short teaser down below? The show is set in 17th century Massachusetts at the onset of the Salem witch trials.

SALEM explores what really fueled the town’s infamous witch trials and dares to uncover the dark, supernatural truth hiding behind the veil of this infamous period in American history. In SALEM, witches are real, but they are not who or what they seem. The show, which centers on an epic romance wrapped around this explosive revelation, delivers a bold new vision of Salem — and an even bolder new vision of witches.

With “American Horror Story Coven” being as popular as it is and television shows based on horror becoming all the rage, it seems like the right time to debut a show based around one of the most infamous witch-based events in American history.  The show sounds like it might be leaning more towards twisted romanticism, but it could be worth a watch.  At the very least, the teaser has piqued my interest.

The cast of this new series includes Janet Montgomery, Seth Gabel, Shane West, Ashley Madekwe, Xander Berkeley, Tamzin Merchant, and Elise Eberle. “Salem” was created by Brannon Braga and Adam Simon.  Simon previously worked on “The Haunting in Connecticut” and “Brain Dead”.

Looks like, it might be, worth watching.

I hope the witches win in this version.
