Oh The Asylum, how we love you so. Well, you know that the RoboCop remake is on the horizon, right? Well, it appears as if The Asylum have their very own future cop in the shape of Michael Jai White, and he is to now be known as Android Cop! Read on for the early details.

As this is The Asylum we’re talking about here, you’d think this would be a blatant ripoff of RoboCop, but it appears that they have their own unique story to tell, one which involves Michael Jai White taking on a disease-ridden populace.

According to Dread Central, the film is directed by Mark Atkins and also stars Charles S. Dutton and Kadeem Hardison.

SynopsisIn this futuristic, action-packed thriller, a cop and his robotic partner enter the Zone, a forbidden section of the city inhabited by a disease-stricken populace. Together, they discover the real reason everyone is sick and attempt to stop the illness – with the help of the machine’s powerful technology and weaponry.

Look for the film on Blu-ray, DVD and VOD this February 4th.
