The Amazon. To this day many parts still remain a mystery, and Adam Spinks’ latest movie The Expedition, looks to venture deep into the jungle for rare species. But perhaps they have just awakened something that was never meant to be found?

Thanks to Undead Backbrain, we have the first details for you and a little teaser clip below to give you a small taste.

The film stars Ben Loyd Holmes, Sarah Mac, Neil Newbon, Daniel Caren, Rebecca Kiser, Ernesto Cantu, Ross O’Hennessy, Simon Burbage, and Dolores Reynals.

SynopsisDeep in the Amazon jungle a research team lead by a respected Professor embark on an expedition to protect vulnerable and endangered species. After a series of strange events their superstitious guides abandon them and the team choose to remain deep in the jungle, dedicated to the project… but as night falls in the camp they begin to realize that all is not as it seems, and that they are in the hunting ground of a predator…. one they never could have expected.

        From this teaser, bad acting is for sure. After that atrocious series “The River” I hope this one gets something right about geography and anthropology of the region.

        what is with this refusal to let found footage/documentary style movies die. cloverfield, quarantine, the paranomal activity series. they’re horrible. blair witch was original. now let’s move on

        Scott Blander – I happen to adore found footage films, so maybe stop pushing your opinion onto other people?? Just because you don’t enjoy something, doesn’t mean everyone else does as well…

        This looks AWESOME ! I just watched the teaser… there’s a huge difference between basic found footage thats really shakey and horrible and awesome well done doco style found footage.
        I agree with Tara – I can’t wait to watch it !
