Alberto Marini, whose primary credits include working as a development executive and story editor for numerous films, is about to sit in the director’s chair for his first feature-length project.
“Summer Camp” is based on a script he wrote with Danielle Schleif about a group of American camp counselors who head to an English-language camp in Spain. And since we’re a horror website, you know that only good things happen at summer camp. However, in lieu of a homicidal maniac, the residents will be tormented by a deadly virus.
Joining the cast are Andres Velencoso and Diego Boneta ([Rec] 3). They join a production that already includes several familiar faces such as: Alex Gonzalez (X-Men: First Class), Maiara Walsh (Zombieland TV series), and Jocelin Donahue (The House of the Devil).
Production is expected to start on the film at the end of this month.
