Rob Zombie Teams with Bret Easton Ellis for Charles Manson TV ProjectI’m sure you all remember the recent news where Rob Zombie publicly announced that he would be jumping back into the horror genre with a new film?

Well, we don’t have any news on said film just yet [unless this is what he was referring too], what we do have is some very intriguing news regarding a new TV project which revolves around the Charles Manson murders.

According to The Wrap, Alcon Television and Madhouse Entertainment are currently developing a new series with FOX. Bret Easton Ellis has been attached to write the script, while Rob Zombie is poised to direct.

The project plans to focus on different characters whose paths cross surrounding the brutal 1969 murders ordered by cult leader Charles Manson, which left seven people dead. Actress Sharon Tate, who was pregnant with husband director Roman Polanski’s child, was one of those murdered in the mass slaying in Los Angeles.

As it is still very early in the development stage, anything could happen from here on out, but hopefully this one comes together as this is definitely something Zombie could get his teeth stuck into and unleash something truly terrifying. Or at least hopefully.

I wish Easton Ellis would write a sequel to American Psycho which is one of the most disturbing books ever written.
