Rose McIver Takes Lead in iZombie
The push to bring comics to the small screen continues this week with the casting of a lead character in the upcoming adaptation of DC’s “iZombie.”
Rose McIver, who previously starred in “Once Upon a Time”, will step into the role of Olivia Moore. Moore is a medical student who contracts a zombie-like virus that gives her the taste for human brains. To satisfy her craving, she takes up a position in the coroner’s office where she has access to all the brains she could want. However, she soon realizes that whenever she consumes a brain she inherits the memories of the person it belonged too. While problematic, it also gives her the chance to solve murders and restore a bit of her humanity.
Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero, of “Veronica Mars” fame, are teaming up on the series for the CW.
