Cabin Fever to Receive the Remake Treatment

Chris Savage

ACabin Fevernother day, another bit of remake news. This one just happens to be a remake of Eli Roth’s 2002 flick, Cabin Fever. Actually, there was once talk of the franchise receiving some sort of a reboot, but that kinda dwindled away and what we were left with was the prequel, Cabin Fever: Patient Zero.

Then talk of a reboot resurfaced, but it seems as if they’re focusing on just remaking the first film: according to Bloody-Disgusting, Indomina are set to put a remake of Eli Roth’s Cabin Fever into production.

Evolution Entertainment (Saw, Dead Silence, Death Sentence), along with Cassian Elwes and Evan Astrowsky, will produce the planned remake.

At this time we have no word if Eli Roth will be involved in any way, but as soon as we learn more we will let you guys know.

So, a remake of Cabin Fever, eh? What are your thoughts?

Oh come on, this one isn’t even 15 years old.

How retarded is this… Serious? What a joke….

No more of a joke than the original movie or the many garbage sequels that followed

        Hahahaha somebody’s having a laugh?!

It’s not told enough to have a remake.

It was good as it was and isn’t that old so why bother? People with no imagination making movies again.. Christ!

Is this serious? I can’t believe. Why would they do that? The original series is still ongoing. We just had Patient Zero and as long as I am informed there is a fourth one coming, Cabin Fever Outbreak still to be released this year. This sounds like non-sense to me.

I’m interested to see the special effects they will use this time.

This could have been a great movie but sadly missed the mark. Whoever cast that guy as the cop should never work in movies again, along with that actor.

Wtf? Cabin fever is what not a decade old?

      12. Alison McDormand April 19, 2014 at 8:05 pm

Can’t they find something else to throw their money away on?? Not a fan of the original but it’s certainly not necessary to do a remake of a film made 12 years ago.

Unfortunately Hollywood is running out of ideas…I wouldn’t be surprised if they start remaking movies a year after their original release..

A part of the genre I will be avoiding.

COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s only 12 years old LOL

Age means nothing to Hollywood. I give you…..Let the Right One In (2008), and Let Me In (2010) as a prime example.

That just came out like yesterday, haha

‘Let Me In’ is an American version of the original which I believe was Swedish, makes sense.

No ‘Cabin Fever’ remake please! Make something original.

No need for a remake. It still holds up

      19. Bart Qib April 20, 2014 at 5:23 pm

Wtf really?! Do these people really need money that bad?
