The Sixth Resident Evil Film to be Titled ‘The Final Chapter’?

Chris Savage

Resident Evil Retribution Photo 14As you guys are aware, a sixth Resident Evil film is planned and once again Paul W.S. Anderson is helming the project. While we don’t have much to go on in terms of plot details or when this one will go into production, we do have a potential title for the sixth film in the franchise.

Recently the guys over at Collider caught up with Paul W.S. Anderson to ask about the sixth film in which Anderson reveals the following;

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is the working title. It may be the final title, but that’s what’s written on the front page of my script.

With this being titled The Final Chapter, Anderson does reveal that this is the last in the franchise, but I’m sure if this one does well the powers that be will call for yet another one, but who knows.

The sixth film will be in 3D and currently Anderson is in the middle of writing the first draft with the film expected to hit this September.

So guys, it looks as if this could be the end, let us know your thoughts below.

        When you call a movie something like this… it’s almost guaranteeing it’s NOT going to be the final chapter.

        Thank goodness, they should have stopped at part 2.

        Knowing that RE movies would be about 45 minutes long if they didn’t have any slow motion in them, and that he was halfway through writing the script I think we can safely assume that filming will begin very soon.

        I’m still butt hurt about the mansion not being the focus of the first film.

        I like them all, but they should not deal as much with the corporation angle as much, and get back to fighting the undead and other creatures….love Mila

        Only the first three were good. Extinction actually did a nice job going back to the first film so that would have been a nice finish to the franchise. A polished trilogy but no, Afterlife and Retribution came along and screwed it up. I hope this IS the FINAL. 😛

        Those movies suck more then words. The games were classic!

        Yes they don’t follow the video games but just for being a scfy action movie they are kinda fun. These people who complain about it should just go watch what they want and stay away from the Resident Evil movies. I’m actually kind of glad they didn’t follow the games because I think if they did they wouldn’t have turned out as good.

        I would rather watch Milla Jovavich menstruate for 2 hours than watch a new Resident Evil movie…. Paul W.S Anderson is just Uwe Boll with a hollywood budget
