I have been waiting for the new trailer for the remake of MAD MAX to finally land and thanks to Warner Brothers we have your first look. Mad Max Fury Road is a reboot of the 1979 film which saw Mel Gibson play an Aussie cop who is out for vengeance after his family is murdered by deranged bikers.
George Miller’s Mad Max Fury Road seems to be about nothing but explosions, explosions and more explosions. I have always loved the grit and violence of the Mad Max movie franchise but the story and the plot were as much a draw as the brutal and surreal world that Mad Max lived in.
I had hoped the Mad Max Fury Road trailer would set me back on my heels and make me go ‘woah’ but instead I just watched it with a glazed over look and felt ‘meh’.
Max Max Fury Road is an apocalyptic story set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and most everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life. Within this world exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order.
There’s Max, a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos. And Furiosa, a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.
