Adam Wingard Announces Next Directorial Project

With back to back critical successes in “You’re Next” and “The Guest”, I’m eager to see what director Adam Wingard and writer Simon Barrett have up their sleeve next.  At this point we don’t have a whole lot of details about their next film, but we do know the title and the basic premise.

According to THR Wingard will be directing the upcoming feature “The Woods” for Lionsgate.  Thus continuing to uphold his tradition of two word movie titles.  Simon Barrett wrote the script which is said to be about a group of college kids that venture out into the wilderness.  However, they soon learn they aren’t alone.  Seeing how Wingard and Barrett have taken previous tried and true concepts and added their own twist to them, I’m willing to bet that things will take a drastic turn in this film as well.

Shooting is expected to start soon as they’re looking to get started in Spring.
