Launch Trailer for Mortal Kombat X featuring System of a Down

System of  a Down bassist Shavo Odadjian teamed up with NetherRealm Studios to gin up a launch trailer for the upcoming release of “Mortal Kombat X.”  The trailer features a montage of story beats that lay the groundwork for the story mission featured in the game.  So… if you don’t want to see anything related to the story, this might not be the trailer for you.

The trailer also features System of the Down’s classic tune “Chop Suey.”  So if you’re jonesing for a nostalgia trip, I can’t imagine anything more suitable than a bit of “Mortal Kombat” and 2001 hit “Chop Suey.” Check it out below. “Mortal Kombat X” is set to release next week on April 14th.
